The Revenge of Dominic Cummings

The downfall of Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been the main media topic for the last couple of days. When they muse what caused it, there is no shortage of candidates, but the Pincher scandal is the last stone on the camel's back and so gets most of the blame. But let us not forget the current rampant inflation, the loss of two constituencies, parties during lockdown, the pandemic mishandling and before that, wallpaper-gate and even Carrie's luxury hampers.

 "Them's the breaks."

However, even Pincher would have been survivable were it not for a certain individual: Dominic Cummings.

It was he who nursed the grudge, who spotted the opportunity, who noticed that Boris was lying about being told about Pincer (not really lying, don't expect Boris to remember details like that) and stuck the knife in at the right time and the right place to mortally wound Boris's career.

It's even possible he coordinated the mass resignations and has negotiated for himself re-entry into Downing Street on the coattails of the next leader. This is of course speculation.

Boris, you didn't ought to have fired Dominic Cummings. He put you in, and it turns out he could take you out again.
